Crossfit Vancouver’s Week of Sack Day 5 - Down Goes Pammer

imageSome are dropping like flies while others persevere. Charlie"JailBird" Palmer is among those brave souls who got taken down by the Urban Monk's wicked concoction of Sumo Deadlift followed by a Million Deep Snatches (Snellen).

Think of Mr Burns on roller skates and that doesn't begin to explain how Charlie was moving around this morning. Pammer called in sick (immobile actually) Get better brother smile

For those who persevered check out today's

"Daily Leader Board" (How about that Melrose Kid?)

Here is Day 5: 150m row, 1 minute rest, repeat 10 times

Scoring: Set timers on Rowers (Sack or Patty will show you how), Lowest total time wins.

Post Love notes and "Get Better" wishes to Palmer in the comments section. I am sure he will appreciate it smile

  1. Palmer!
Way to represent! Curse the gods that gave us pain!

Get your rest, nutrition, take those epsom salt baths (add 3 cups to as hot as water as you can stand and soak for 20 min)to ease the soreness, you'll be back in a jiffy!

    Respect! Hi five!

  3. Get well Jailbird. I am also one of those people that is sore from the week of sac but for me it just underlines that I need to continue to try and get the core stronger. What I know for sure is that whenever my lower back is tight, it means I've been working hard and once it loosens up I come back stronger.

Today is a rest day for me. I will hit the row sprints early saturday morning and maybe I'll hit that first workout Sac put up with the man makers and runs.

  7. the key number in that list is the FGB score.

RX weights (135lbs) for Grace and Isabel are 44% his bodyweight.

He's a big guy with crazy absolute strength, but his power:weight and strength:weight ratios don't look that impressive.
It'd be fun to watch him side-by-side Spealler though ... Give them helmets and swords - they'd look like Asterix and Obelix.

  8. yes he tested positive but he passed the lie detector test saying he never took them. Personally I couldn't care less if he has or hasn't, the guy can press over 300#. He is my new hero.
